Their annual conference is a multi-location event, requiring a fast and efficient checkout process for thousands of attendees who buy books and various tangibles from the organization.
PaymentGear created a self-checkout system utilizing the PayDock iPad based point of sale solution. The app was built on a web based interface that can be deployed in the Secure Kiosk app for card present transactions. This allowed for scaling and deploying numerous devices across several locations on a single platform and management of those devices from a remote location.
Wait times were reduced by 70% utilizing half the volunteers typically required for this type of retail environment. Customer engagement was doubled with an intuitive UI/UX and capturing of important user data. The solution also provides greater reporting, inventory tracking, and the ability to bridge into back office systems for automating day to day operations.
